Let's not kid ourselves; QUALITY solar installations can be expensive and with the cost of living having gone through the roof, every dollar counts especially, for us retirees. We were nervous. Is the initial outlay worth it? Will it last? What about the disaster installations you sometimes hear about? We HAD to get 'bang for buck'. So naturally we completed our research thoroughly with the help of our daughter and knew, roughly, what we wanted.
Enter TTEC; a locally based family company with a hard earned reputation built on diligence, professionalism, customer service and proven record - just read all of the reviews as we did! I'm not going over the top : seriously, read them. Our daughter was the TTEC 'guinea pig' getting a massive 48 panel installation. We did baulk at the initial outlay cost but once her system was installed and after getting her government rebate (based on how many panels you get which is stupid - but that's another story), the system proved conclusively, through the iSolarCloud (SunGrow) application, that with her battery and the grid returns, she'd never have another electricity bill again. We were still nervous but now convinced solar power was for us and that TTEC was our company of choice.
Our TTEC experience started with Adrian, our Energy Consultant, who coordinates literally everything, making our solar adventure completely hassle free. He explained the whole TTEC solar system process using our former electricity as a guide to developing a tailor made system to suit our specific needs and usage patterns.
Adrian then used a drone over our roof and took pictures so he could explain precisely where the panels would go and our final quote had them graphically pictured on our actual roof. There was no heavy sales pitch like we have experienced with other companies; just a factual rundown of the TTEC Solar Grow system, our needs and the anticipated results. We were encouraged by Adrian to think about it overnight as he imparted quite a lot of information but the way it was presented made it very easy for even us 'technophobes' to understand. The next day we paid a deposit and we were off. Very exciting.
We waited a few weeks before TTEC called us to confirm suitable installation dates and times. The timing was all about us! The team arrived precisely on time with a site coordinator, Thomas, and away they went. They worked extremely hard over a two day period to finalise our installation. It was a completely worry free experience; exactly as former reviewers had said.
All of the TTEC crew, without exception, were extremely courteous, professional and diligent. Extensive photos were taken pre and post installation so there's no squabble about the condition of our tiled roof which was perfect. The site was always tidy and all rubbish removed including our old Solar system.
Following the perfect installation (check my photos out but ignore the large galvanized gas pipe and white extension cord), we downloaded the iSolarGuard (Sun Grow) App and Thomas assisted us in setting up our own 'Solar Plant'. The App is very user friendly and intuitive. Our 10KW Sungrow system had our stackable batteries (we got 3 but you can stack up to 8 if needs be) at 100% within 2-3 hours whilst also delivering free power to our house. We are now literally using cost free electricity to run our home. (PS we have 3 freezers at the moment).
