Scott's three-storey Glenelg North property presented a unique challenge, including high access requirements, a large rooftop, and the need for reliable backup power.
We began the installation in late November, coordinating crane access and a 14m tower to ensure the rooftop work was managed safely. The system features a massive 18.04 kW solar array composed of 41 x 440 W panels, paired with Sungrow inverters (10.0 RT and 5.0 RT) and an impressive 25.6 kWh of Sungrow battery storage.
This powerhouse setup was designed not only to slash energy bills but to deliver strong backup support across key areas of the home.
Scott specifically requested that several essential circuits be backed up in the event of a blackout, including the aquarium (located in the storeroom sub-board), as well as lighting in both the central and bottom floor ensuites and kitchen (all supplied via the main switchboard).
